Most businesses under a hundred people run their working day across four unconnected systems. The roster lives in one, the clock-ins in another, payroll in a third, and the invoice that finally earns the money in a fourth.
Each hand-off is manual, and every manual hand-off is where the numbers quietly stop agreeing. ShiftWren exists to remove the hand-offs entirely — one ledger of people, hours and money, from the shift being planned to the invoice being paid.
The manifesto
Software should not make a business re-type what it already knows.
If a manager approved an eight-hour shift on Tuesday, nobody should have to tell payroll about it on Friday, and nobody should have to remember it when the client is invoiced at the end of the month. That is the whole idea. Everything we build is judged against it.
